And companies large and small know this trend very well and have begun to take advantage of the fun and free idea of social media engagement.

Here is how to build your social media following naturally and effectively:
1. Get to know your customer. Â What do they like to do? What are their hobbies and passions? What do they hate? When do they get on social media? What do they like to read while online or off?
Basically get into their lives and then post and talk about what would interest them. It does not always need to be about your product but about creating a relationship with them enough for them to trust you to buy your product when you do mention it. Get them to like you or your company and you will make sales.
2. Post everyday. If not multiple times a day. You will stay on their radar. And will more likely get engagement, which, by the way, Facebook LOVES! The more “likes” and “comments” you get the more your updates get seen.
3. Talk, talk, talk. Â A lot of us are really good talkers, come on ladies. That is what makes social media so awesome in helping to market your business! Answer comments, like comments, share other pages and people’s updates and get out their on other pages and profiles to comment also. Mingle online.

If you have a blog or site that you sell from you can always use Google Analytics to see how people are getting to your page. Or you can ask. I have been asked many times how I heard about a company.

Explore the many social networking sites, and create a marketing campaign for the ones that best fit your business mix. This is a great way to form relationships and create new customers.

I do agree with most of the tips on social media marketing, I in fact tag some people on my Instagram images or videos. I find its not as useful anymore to tag anyone on facebook these days because if they dont respond FB thinks you are spamming them. even if its coz they didnt see the tag… The FB newsfeed is getting as fast as twitter lol!
