It’s Monday and today I am excited to introduce you to Saskia Gregory. In this Mompreneur Rockstar Interview  Saskia Gregory tells how she went from working with well known brands and marketing agencies to fullfilling her own dream. Continue reading to find out what Saskia Gregory is doing now.
Welcome Saskia Gregory! Tell us a little about yourself?
Over the last 7 years worked from home as a freelance copywriter, writing for well-known brands like easyJet as well as independent marketing agencies and online retailers. While I adore the flexibility of remote working, I wasn’t feeling fulfilled with my clients and knew that I had a bigger purpose – to have a positive impact on people’s lives. It was after having my son, that I realized I had to take action now and start building the life that I imagine for my family. After looking at where my passions and talents lie, coaching seemed like the right direction.
Thanks to the internet, I’ve never actually had a ‘proper job’ as I have always been able to create my own opportunities. And I’m really excited to help other women combine the power of the web and their own unique talents and skills – to create fulfilling businesses that can support their family and their dreams!
Where did the inspiration for your business come from?
I’ve always really enjoyed working, but realized that I needed to do something much more fulfilling to justify the time I spend away from son when I’m working, though I’m never far (I’m fortunate in that my partner is a stay-at-home-dad). I started thinking about what I would be happy to wake up and work on each day, and I realized I needed to do something to help others. Coaching other mothers to start online businesses was what got me excited because I know how precious it is to be able to have that flexibility. To earn a living and yet still be able to stop and have lunch with my family or just take the day off to go for a day out – that’s pretty special.

What kind of approximate start-up costs were involved in getting your business from concept to launch mode?
The brilliant thing about online business is that you really can spend as little or as much as you like to get started! At the moment I’ve spent less than £300 to get to the point where I have a beautiful website, a growing online community, and interest in my first coaching program – which is a soon to open unique group experience taking participants from business idea to launch in the most succinct and enjoyable way possible. My biggest costs are likely to be legal fees and insurance to make sure everything is watertight from the start – and my time.
Who is your product or service for and how does it benefit them?
My first coaching program is a group experience designed for women who a really ready to commit to their dreams and make their online business a reality. It’s for mothers who are always doing their best for their children, but are ready to invest in themselves and become the woman they deserve and wish to be. It’s an exclusive 9 week program that is going help these lucky ladies clarify and make money from their passions beyond parenting, and give them the structures and strategies to put it all together and confidently go out there, find clients, and share their unique services with the world.
Please provide one business tip that you feel can really help a mom entrepreneur with her business.
Get clear on your ‘WHY’. Why are you starting your own business? What will it provide for you and your family? For me, this has completely changed how I approach business. When you have a bigger picture in mind, or better still – on paper, you know exactly why you need to do the things that are uncomfortable or dull… They get you to that dream result!
1 thing you do for yourself to unwind from it all?
I’m quite bad at unwinding because I enjoy being productive so much. Obviously playing with my son is a great way to relax and spending time with my partner, he can always make me laugh and de-stress.
