Welcome to Mompreneur Media! Tell us a little about yourself:
My name is Karina, I’m a mom of 2 boys. I have a 4-year-old boy and 6-month-old boy. I do sales, marketing, public relations, shipping, social media and more of a picture hanging tool we manufacture called Hang-O-Matic. This is my husband’s inventions that we sell into retail stores called the Hang-O-Matic. We are self-funded small family business and have been selling into retail stores since 2014. We had to sell our dream home and move away from family in order to keep growing.

My husband invented it about 17 years ago. And when we met, I was living alone trying to hang my own wall decor. The shortly after moved in together we were decorating our new apartment and after we hung a shelf, we watched a snowglobe fall and crash in front of us. That’s when my husband dusted off the prototype which worked amazing and I decided to start this business.

What kind of approximate start-up costs were involved in getting the Hang-O-Matic from concept to launch mode?
We have spent way over 300k by now.
Who is your the Hang-O-Matic for and how does it benefit them?
It is an all-in-one picture hanging tool, that measures, levels and marks the wall at the same time so you know where the nails go. Hang the picture straight the first time.
1 thing you do for yourself to unwind from it all?
Wine! lol I spend time with my 2 kids and workout.
