Networking is a social activity that business owners and the business minded take part in to generate leads and sales. It can be very successful if done with honesty and integrity. Many believe it is one of the best ways to generate new business because the very nature of networking allows for people to create relationships that can benefit both parties. Relationships in business are extremely important.
It can be done in many fashions, sometimes simply being introduced to a fellow business owner can be networking. Group dinners or even special networking events can also be great networking opportunities.
Individuals have varying methods of keeping their receipts in check. For instance, a lot of moms religiously save receipts for clothing, holiday purchases, large items and others just in case there’s a problem, while some others are quick to throw them away.
Mompreneurs are exceptional negotiators because they know how to persuade. How can mothers convince their two-year olds to do as asked? How do they sway them to do their homework and clean their room? Mothers are geniuses and their parental skills can be beautifully adapted to the business world, too. Unlike men, who are more aggressive and determined, women like to appeal to people’s feelings. In business, having the ability to do that is outstanding. Connecting to an opponent from a humane perspective can turn a negotiation to your advantage.

Like many parents, some of our best ideas come from the everyday struggles we encounter. We were taking family trip to Disneyland. Like many moms, I wanted to make sure everyone had a great time, but I of course was always thinking about safety, germs, and nap schedules too. At the time my boys were young (7, 5, 3) so we were making many trips to the restroom and I was constantly having to lift them up to wash their hands. That’s when my first idea was born – a product for children that would help them reach the faucet and wash their hands on their very own.
We launched Peachy® in 2010 with the Aqueduck® – the first faucet extender in the market. Since that moment, here at Peachy® we have been working diligently to develop other easy to use and fun products that will foster independence, build confidence, while at the same time making lives for parents easier and of course Peachy!
Finding the appropriate balance between work and personal lives can already be pretty demanding, but when you’re a mother, there’s even more responsibility. The decisions you have to make can have a big impact on your company and family, so every choice needs to be weighed heavily.
Whenever possible, you should look for ways to save time. Whether it’s getting to the kids’ sport practices a few minutes early or taking a short break to reboot during work, every minute counts for busy mompreneurs.
