Here are a few things you need to do to ensure that your blog’s visual branding wipes the floor with the competition:
Create a Custom Theme
First of all, if you want your blog to be easily identifiable as part of your brand, or even form the basis for your brand, you need to use a custom theme. Sure, there are some pretty nice free templates available, but they just don’t match the look and feel of a custom solution which can be 100% tailored to needs and the needs of your customers. If you aren’t able to customize your own solutions, it’s worth making use of the services by Bash Foo to ensure that you get a really good, functional theme that will wow your visitors and get them interested in what you’re selling
Add a Logo
Once you have a good theme in place, you should absolutely, no exceptions, create your own logo and have it at the top of each page on your blog, so that your brand identity is always front and center. Ideally, your logo should be small, simple and in fitting with your brand identity. Again, if your design skills aren’t the best, using the services of a freelance graphic designer from the likes of Upwork could be a good idea if you want to ensure that your logo really does look good.
Take Your Own Photos
As far as possible, you should also try to take your own photos for your blog. This shows the world that you’re a real person/business, not a faceless internet entity that could be trying to right hem off for all they know. If you do take your own pictures, add watermarks, so that they can’t be stolen and used in other places that could bring your brand into disrepute.
Use Colors Consistently
If you want your blog and your brand to have a more  ‘expensive’ feel, it makes sense to choose a palette of 2-4 colors and use them consistently throughout your site. Ideally, these should be the same colors used in your logo to tie everything together. This is something that brands like Coca-Cola do well, and it does make a big difference to the popularity and recognize-ability of your brand
Pay Attention to Typography
Obviously, your blog is going to have a lot of text in it, and that means you do need to pay attention to typography. If you want your blog to look as visually appealing as possible, it’s a good idea to choose one or two typefaces and use them consistently throughout. That way, your blog won’t look messy and turn your readers off. Just make sure you choose typefaces that are clear and easy to understand.
