Welcome to Mompreneur Media Amanda! Please tell us about yourself
My name is Amanda, I live in the beautiful mountains of Pennsylvania with my husband and our two daughters, ages 13 months and 2 1/2. I’m an Instagramaholic and I have a true passion for helping mompreneurs not only create a full time income from home, but coach them on how to break the 6 figure mark and beyond.
Where did the inspiration for “Moms Making It Happen” come from?
Moms Making It Happen was born out of my desire to help moms who are going through the same daily trials and challenges that I face as a mom of toddlers and being a business owner. For me, it was a whole new ballgame when my second daughter was born in terms of what I could get done in a day’s time in my business, so I had to get very strategic about what I focused on. Not only did I need productivity strategies to continue moving forward but having a support system was huge for me, so I love nothing more than being able to offer that to other Moms.
Tell us about your “Moms Mean Business” Program?
The Moms Mean Business Club is a cutting-edge business coaching program for moms with young children. The core of the program is centered around helping moms create a business that rocks while having a family life they love.
What is included in the program?
The Club is founded on our 4 essential pillars – Coaching – Community – Confidence – Charity. So as club members, women receive cutting-edge business coaching from myself and our other expert coaches. They become members of our amazing community where they receive support from other women who understand what they are going through and are able to mastermind and build their network. We also focus on confidence in the form of mindset, health, and style because I believe that success is directly correlated to the way a woman feels about herself and her abilities. And finally, charity is a huge component of what we do because having a successful business is great, but when you can use your business to make an impact on the world in some way, it suddenly has so much more meaning and inspires the business owner to get out of bed every morning and show up for the greater cause.
Please provide 1 marketing tip that can help a mom entrepreneur gain a little more exposure to her business.
My biggest advice would be to hire a coach and surround yourself with a supportive community. The two often come hand in hand as coaches create wonderful communities made up of their clients. I don’t say this because I am a coach but because I’ve had such great success as a result of having a coach myself. Hiring a coach literally helps you shortcut your path to success by years by giving you the exact blueprint to follow, with the encouragement you need along the way to complete those action steps, and of course tapping you into a powerful network to potentially syndicate your content.
1 thing you do for yourself to unwind from it all?
I workout 5 mornings a week. It’s my sanity. My husband and I both work from home so we take turns watching our girls while the other goes to the gym. If I really need a break, I usually go for a hike on one of my favorite trails… journal in hand.
Share a book or a website you like to browse just for fun
I would have to say if I’m not working on the computer, I’m probably browsing Amazon or Zappos for something. 🙂 Personally though, I’m a podcast girl. For easy listening, I like Ali Brown’s podcast called Glambition. She interviews amazing women entrepreneurs who have just about every type of business imaginable, and I get inspired every time I listen to it.
