She is known for her smart graphics and eye-catching designs and now Nicole Orozco and her business Mompreneur Media is known as one of the top businesses in the country. Mompreneur Media was recently included in the Top 100 Mom-Owned Businesses in America by StartupNation.
The recognition is an exciting one for Orozco but one that is a great honor. “There are so many amazing mom-owned businesses out there that I am so humbled to be included in this list,” Orozco said.

The Olympia, Washington-based business was launched in 2011 offering mom entrepreneurs a variety of educational resources to help them grow their businesses. Orozco launched Mompreneur Media after a successful foray into internet business with her online baby boutique. Soon she found that she was enjoying the design and graphics aspect of the business much more so she decided to pursue that area.
Mompreneur Media was born. It provides Orozco with a way to indulge in her passion for graphics and design but also her second passion—helping moms pursue their own dreams.
Orozco is also currently working on a “give back a website” program to help moms take their dreams to the next level.
There are 8.6 million women-owned businesses in America, according to the 2013 State of Women-Owned Businesses Report by American Express OPEN, with women-owned businesses growing at a 1.5 times faster growth rate than all other firms.
Being named in the Top 100 has provided past mom-owned businesses with valuable exposure but Orozco sees it as not just an opportunity for her own business but for the many other mom businesses she works with on a daily basis.
