Is your company website starting to let you down, when you need it most to be the backbone of your small or home business?

When you’re a mompreneur, you’ve got to have an eye on every single thing in your life. You’ve got your kids on one hand, your home life on the other, and then your company and all of its dealings is sitting on the secret third hand you managed to grow out of your back one day! And because of this, it can very easy to lose focus, especially on responsibilities that don’t require immediate attention. Let’s say your company website, for example.

The online world is in no way reliable, and we can all understand that. But is your company website starting to let you down, when you need it most to be the backbone of your small or home business? If so, let’s take a look at some of the most common issues below.

You’ve Got No Room to Expand

Expansion is usually the name of the game when it comes to running a business website, and you always want to be able to take on new customers, new shipping availability, new products and collaborations with artists and influencers, and even just expanding out your mailing list to hit the 5 or 10,000 mark! But how can you do this when you’ve just simply not got the online storage space, and thus you can’t add anything onto your platform?

Well, now’s the time to get yourself a much more dedicated server, and never look back because of it! With one of these, you’re going to find it a lot easier to redesign that homepage layout, and include more pictures of the new products you’re setting up to go live in the shop. And being able to broadcast a new development from every angle is a good way to build hype amongst your customer base, so investing in a new server could be very good for marketing too!

It Doesn’t Showcase Who You Are

And that’s a huge design flaw if you ever saw one! Don’t worry, there’s plenty of website features and strategies out there that can help you to make sure that your small business persona, and confident mindset is being broadcast with every move you make – the online world is one filled to the brim with leaders, but you’ve got the advantage of being down to earth.

So make sure the customers know that, and that your website isn’t standoffish or cold to the customer eye. Be personal with what you say, have a regular update for anyone on the mailing list, be sure to offer exclusive rewards or discount codes, and overall, just be available whenever someone needs it. And that means you need your contact information to be front and centre, and have your inbox open to anyone who needs your attention.

Your website shouldn’t ever let you down, so make sure you’re paying enough attention to it and what it can do for your brand and business.
