If you are looking for a gift for a mom-to-be you will want to check out these unique baby shower gift ideas for 2014
While some of us shop, others are busy inventing, creating, advertising and selling the products we browse, and many of those products are created by mompreneurs.
It’s difficult enough to create a viable product that can compete in a sometimes saturated market. However, these mompreneurs think up, develop, and market a product while balancing homework and homeroom mom duties, cooking dinner—and lest we forget—ahem, performing wifely duties. Yet you’ll find these mompreneurs at trade shows each year being their own marketing and outreach team for their fabulous products.
The mompreneur behind your favorite product likely gave up gym time, perhaps missed a few social events with girlfriends and undoubtedly spent a family dinner or two eating next to a laptop. In short, they make a lot of sacrifices in order to get those products to market.
They do it because they know what it’s like to be a mom and they are passionate about passing on that product that makes a mom’s job that much easier. They also want to show other would-be mompreneurs that you can follow your dream and succeed. But most of all they do it to benefit and provide for their families in the long run. Being a wife and mom is hard; being a mompreneur deserves a cape and a cake. (Or maybe a kickin’ pair of boots and a cupcake.)
When you are out shopping for the perfect Christmas gift, baby shower present or new mommy treat keep in mind these baby shower gift ideas that are made by moms, for moms.

I LOVE this article and don’t forget to mention that the super cute graphic design was created by YOU 🙂 And it’s amazing.
Thank you for sharing Snuggwugg with the world. I can’t wait to launch our new website in a few weeks. I really appreciate the mention and love all the products. I hope any mom with a dream in her heart takes the leap!
Lisa, thank you ;-). You all are so inspiring to me. Maybe I will have my own invention one day!
I love all of these Ideas these moms have come up with. no one knows better than a mom about what is best for their baby.
You got that right, Patricia 🙂 I believe that is why moms make fantastic entrepreneurs!
I like all of the above and think they are great. My number 1 would have to be the travel high chair. I still cannot believe how many places do not have high chair facilities. And sometimes those that do have them, well I would not put my little one in them. They are often dirty, with remnants of food from many of the previous little occupiers, but worse than that many of them just dont look safe.
But I can also see a use for them in the homes of friends and family. I know friends and family should not be expected to cater for my children (and mostly don’t, ok gripe over) so this travel high chair is just perfect. Win Win.
Wow – there are some terrific ideas here! I’m not “in” this stage right now, but great ideas to keep in mind when the time comes. I love that mounting the diapers & wipes on the wall – that’s the professional organizer in me coming out:)
These are great inventions – my friend has a 6 month old so I’ll be sharing this link with her 🙂 Happy Friday! -Iva
I love the Bobee as well. Thanks for stopping by!!
Thank you so much! She will love the list!
I truly wish the Padalliy was invented when I had my Kiddies. Those car seats can be torture and a work out all by themselves. I may not be needing it myself anytime soon but I will definiely keep it as an idea for friends.
Great information! I will definitely keep these in mind when I go to baby showers!

The Ciao! Baby is PERFECT! So useful. Happy SITS day, late. I tried posting yesterday from my Nexxus Tablet, but it wasn’t displaying properly, it was cutting of the “not a spammer” check off box for some reason. So I had to wait till I got on the laptop.
I love the idea of the Padalily. Infant carriers always killed my arm especially when chasing a 3 year old while carrying it.
Those are all great ideas -I had never heard of any of them… I have a newborn now, and I will look into a few for sure! They look great!
Wow so many wonderful creations here! I love the patemm pad – I wish that was around when my girls were little!
Thanks so much for sharing (and happy belated SITS day)!
xoxo
Thanks for stopping by Jennifer. Yes, I wish I would have known about these products. They would have come in handy for me!
The baby elephant ears are precious and functional. I’m picking some up tomorrow. Thanks so much for the ideas! My husband says we need a Hans device.
