It goes without saying that looking clean and groomed plays a big role in having a successful business trip. Take shampoo, conditioner, moisturiser, deodorant, a toothbrush, toothpaste and a razor. You should try and bring the same hair products that you would use on a typical work day. When it comes to makeup the basics are more than enough for a short trip away. Remember, packing as light as you can will make transportation much more convenient.

Unfortunately these small trips away might involve a fair bit of travel time, but at least it’s a good opportunity to prepare. A laptop that you can use for work is always beneficial. You’ll also be thankful for a laptop when you get to your accommodation and realise you don’t have to rely on an old desktop computer in the lobby to open your email attachments. Other important items that people may forget are business cards, but these are so useful that you should really be packing these in abundance. Networking is a key aspect to these trips and having some business cards that you can hand to people is one of the easiest ways to do so.
