Security breaches are often very public so that means you’ll struggle to attract new customers as well. It’s very difficult to come back from something like that and it could kill the business entirely. It’s still important to protect your own data but customer information should always be your priority.

If you’re a big company and you can afford to pay salaries for a large team of experienced IT professionals, then it’s fine to deal with security in-house. But if you’re a fairly small business, you won’t be able to do that. Don’t make the mistake of thinking that you can make do with just one or two IT professionals, you can’t make compromises with your online security. Change Passwords Regularly

But when it comes to your business, you need to be more careful. It’s important that you get your employees to change passwords on a regular basis. At least once every few months is best. It’s a bit of a pain to remember new passwords all of the time but it’ll make your business a lot safer.
Make Regular Backups
Even if you put a lot of time and effort into your online security, there is always the chance that a breach will happen. In that case, you need to have a good backup. If you lose everything and you don’t have copies of it, you’re going to be in a lot of trouble. But if you’re making regular backups of all of your data, you can recover everything and resume business as usual as soon as possible.
