Start selling your product
First, you need to start selling your product. It doesn’t matter how you go about it, just start. The more sales you rack up the easier it will be to get noticed and start pushing it into the mass production market. Start with social media, you can use this to sell your product but advertise it too. Check these 5 big Facebook advertising changes that will dominate 2017 for an idea how it is changing. Don’t forget, there are other platforms like Twitter, Linkedin and myspace, so don’t just settle for the one. You can sell on the blogs too. Find blogs relevant to your products and ask bloggers to try the product and write about it or perhaps you can guest blog and create links back to your product pages. Be aware and use social media and indeed the internet in general to get vital product exposure.
Look for investors
Next, you should try for investment. You have likely seen dragons den and shark tank. This is the type of thing you need to get on board with. Give it a go. See if you can get into it. They may be enamored with your product. Remember, go with all of your figures. How much does it cost to manufacture one unit? What’s the gross profit per unit? How many have you sold? Etc. These are the questions that will come up time and time again, so don’t look foolish and go armed with knowledge. They are investing in you just as much as your product, so ensure your pitch is well rounded and you give the best representation of yourself that you can. There are many investors around the country so try to get it in front of those that can do well with it.
Create a video showcasing your product. Get this on as many platforms as possible. Youtube for one, then the social media sites. Video is great, it’s easy to watch and take in and can reach millions of people if done right. There is a reason the top brands, who are easily recognizable still use video so extensively. Go to trade shows, seek expert opinions, ask for reviews. Everything you do will gain further exposure for your product and enable more people to purchase it.
