Start an eCommerce shop
One of the easiest ways to kick-start your entrepreneurial journey is to set up an eCommerce shop. There are two ways to do this based on your level of experience and commitment. The first way requires you to buy the products in wholesale and create a distribution network. There is not much difference here between an eCommerce store and a physical one. The other way is much simpler and requires less knowledge and resources. Create an eCommerce shop on Shopify or WordPress and affiliate with an existing store. This way, you only have to do the marketing.Â
Take control of your personal finance
Before you start turning your attention to generating more income, look closely at your current financial situation to see where savings can be made. Usually, there will be savings you can make with your energy bills and broadband internet package. If you have any debt, you need to concentrate on paying that off first. It’s more cost-effective to pay off debt first than to begin saving at the same time. Consider debt consolidation options and switching any debt over to interest-free credit cards while you pay them off. It’s useful to think of this as a small business in itself.Â
Buy and sell websites
If you know a little bit about websites and how they work, you could potentially start a small business buying and selling them online. The idea is much the same as buying and selling property in the real world, you purchase a website, improve it, and sell it on for a profit. Developing a website in this sense means increasing its traffic and monetizing it so that it earns a monthly profit. There are various marketplaces online in which you can buy and sell websites. When you sell one, you can profit from the sale and earn a monthly income. Â

Start a blog and write and ebook
If you have a passion such as writing, cooking, photography, personal finance, or anything else under the sun, it might be worth considering starting a blog. You can earn extra money every month blogging about your passion through affiliate advertising and selling some space on your website for advertising. They are usually banner ads that appear above your posts. You will receive a small commission for these which can increase the more followers you collect. Later, when your blog’s established, you write an eBook.Â
Create and sell handmade items
If you’re crafty, why not take advantage of the many marketplaces on offer online such as Etsy and Not On The Highstreet among others. You can easily set yourself up as a seller and promote your handmade products to many potential buyers. Start-up costs may depend on what kind of items you are planning to sell and which platform you use.Â
