Here is one way you can make learning a little more interesting at home during the pandemic by using personalized books for children.

Whether the storyline involves encountering colorful unicorns, exploring magical kingdoms, or befriending dinosaurs, getting lost in a book is an ideal way to learn for many children. But right now, the future of learning seems a little uncertain. With changes being made to our education system, many moms and dads are getting a little stressed on what’s to come.

Learning Still Needs to Happen

Although easier said than done, my advice to you is not to stress but to go with the flow. We can’t control some of the events that have taken place in 2020 but we can choose the way we respond to them. That means we need to keep in mind that learning still needs to happen, regardless of whether school takes place in a classroom, or as will be the case for many families, at home. So, in an effort to get off on the right “homeschooling” foot,  I decided to share with you just one of the ways you can make it a little more interesting with personalized books for children.

I was recently gifted with a personalized children’s book to give to my son and thought it would be fun to create a curriculum around the book itself. I surprised my son with his own book after we completed the assignment and he was so excited to receive it.

Here is what you can do using your personalized book:

  1. Visit: https://www.inthebook.com/en-us/ and pick out the book or topic.  Once you decide on a book you will be walked through the personalization process. Because my son enjoys science and space subjects, I chose Personalized Children’s Book About Space.
  2. Choose a project to do with your child. Since you will already have an idea of what the book will be about, this will give you a head start on your subject. You can refine the project once the book arrives and you have read it. I chose to do an art project with my son. He created his own painting of space. While working on the project you can include educational scenarios or facts that you have read in the book.
  3. When you have completed the project, surprise your child with the book and have him or her read it to you.

It’s a creative way to make learning fun for both of you!

In the Book has provided families with quality personalized books for decades. They’re a trusted source for personalized books that awaken your child’s love of reading. Whether softback or hardcover with luxury foil embossing, each book goes through a meticulous printing and binding process to ensure your book arrives in perfect keepsake condition. All of their books are printed, bound, and distributed in-house.

One of the best parts of reading is getting lost in the storyline: seeing your favorite characters, envisioning the landscape, and watching the plot unfold in your mind. Personalized books quickly become favorites because children enjoy the story more when they can imagine themselves in the adventure. Through story personalization your child can explore the cosmos, hang out with a super hero, or meet Disney princesses. Your child’s name will appear on the cover and throughout the story. You can even add a customized message and photo, making your personalized book a gift that will be treasured for years to come.
