Think about getting yourself a trip and buying some repackaging medication to help you recover from your cold quicker and mow effectively.
Rest
When you are sick you HAVE to rest. When we have work and other commitments in our lives it can be hard for us to sit down and take a breath, and when we are sick this can massively slow down our time recovering. If you want to recover from your illness as quickly as possible you need to take some time out for yourself and rest. Try to sleep, take a bath, binge watch Netflix. Do whatever relaxes you and be happy, it will honestly make a massive difference to your recovery.
Steam
Steaming your face when you feel congested might feel like an odd thing to do and you might think it would be uncomfortable, but it is honestly one of the best possible ways that you can clear your sinuses. Take a bowl of boiling or hot water and drip a few drops of menthol or eucalyptus oil into the bowl which will help to open up your nose. All you have to do is set a timer for 10 minutes, play some relaxing music and place your head over the bowl with a towel over your head to lock in the steam. It will feel so relaxing and you will loosen a lot of the mucus and phlegm which builds up when you are unwell.
Eat and drink enough
It is always important to feed a cold. When you are sick you are weaker and your body uses a lot more energy than normal trying to combat the illness and make you feel better. If you want to really recover quickly you need to feed yourself enough food and eat what you crave. Make sure to avoid things like chocolate because this can aggravate type throat, and drink lots of warm water, tea and other fluids.
Stay toasty
When you are ill the best thing you can do for your body is to sweat it out. It might mean that you feel like a disgusting and grubby person for a few days, however when you raise your core temperature it makes you more active and allows your body to fight off a cold more effectively. Wrap up, get comfy and stay warm!
